Back in February our VW camper van geocaching toy was in a cache at a park in North West Germany. In May a worrying note was posted to say it was missing from the cache. Thankfully this was not the end of the road for our VW though as in October we were notified that it had been found by emileria in a cache called Finger Path in the same part of Germany.
It was grabbed from this cache soon after by a geocacher with the username kuschelchen who would then hold on to it for the remainder of 2014. I don’t know who kuschelchen is but I certainly envy their ability to travel. As well as visiting dozens of caches in the local area of Germany, our bug was also taken to Venice, Turkey, Thailand, Rome, Liège in Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey (again), Russia and Austria. It even visited another region in Germany, Baden-Württemberg. That’s some serious travelling in such a short space of time!
On 30th December our toy visited Namur in Belgium. Finally on 1st January 2015 kuschelchen placed our toy in a cache in Gelderland in the Netherlands. Thanks kuschelchen for looking after our VW and showing it so many places!
